Jean-Guy is passionate about sharing the knowledge and strategies that have been tested in his own practice.
Grant Kirkup, FCPA, FCGA
Grant Kirkup, FCPA, FCGA currently provides consulting to entrepreneurs. Grant built an accounting firm in rural Manitoba from one part time employee to a team of 30. He understands that the profitability of one’s practice is generally in direct relationship to one’s management ability. Grant has worked in a wide variety of businesses with sales up to $60M, where he played a key role on the senior management team as well in the ownership group. Grant was president of CGA Manitoba in 1992-93. Seminar leader for CGA Canada, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and Ontario covering practice management topics with an emphasis on firm profitability.

With over 10 years of work in client acquisitions and client retention in the accounting software world, Katie has a strong understanding of the needs that accountants have, want and seek. Understanding how the finance professionals role is forever changing and that accountants are no longer solely responsible for just the debits and credits, Katie will share what it really means to have meaningful corporate insight, how to translate that beyond crunching numbers and which tools can enable finance professionals to do so.
Dr. Leigh Quesnel is the President & Director of HQS Consulting Services Inc. and he has been a leading organizational consultant for well over 20 years. He has worked with small and large organizations in both the public and private sector, nationally and internationally. His current areas of study and interest include the evolution of management practices, managing stress, workplace wellness, leadership, and motivation. His work in organizations ranges from hands on consulting with senior management to the development of management and employee training programs. Finally, Leigh has a Ph.D. in psychology and has lectured in the faculties of psychology and commerce at the universities of Manitoba and Winnipeg.

The majority of those years, she worked closely with small to mid-sized public accounting firms to understand their needs, created programs and services to support their practices, and helped practitioners understand their regulatory requirements. Kristine is passionate about supporting practitioners and is exceptional at organizing events. She is excited to be working with RêveNew Practice Management providing event management services for their inaugural event.
