Jean-Guy’s ability to connect with his audience makes each delivery engaging as well as informative. Growing the practice from a one-person operation in his basement in 1987 to over 60 staff in seven locations across Manitoba today, he has devoted a tremendous amount of time and energy researching the secrets of operating a better practice. Jean-Guy is passionate about sharing the knowledge and strategies that have been tested in his own practice.

Jean-Guy’s ability to connect with his audience allows each delivery to be engaging. He continues to be involved in the practice he started in 1987 to ensure he remains current with the daily management of the firm. This allows him to develop content that has been tested within his own practice.

Grant Kirkup, FCPA, FCGA

Grant Kirkup, FCPA, FCGA currently provides consulting to entrepreneurs.  Grant built an accounting firm in rural Manitoba from one part time employee to a team of 30.  He understands that the profitability of one’s practice is generally in direct relationship to one’s management ability.  Grant has worked in a wide variety of businesses with sales up to $60M, where he played a key role on the senior management team as well in the ownership group.  Grant was president of CGA Manitoba in 1992-93.  Seminar leader for CGA Canada, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and Ontario covering practice management topics with an emphasis on firm profitability.

Managing Partner, Accent Chartered Professional Accountants

An entrepreneur at heart, Howard is the Managing Partner at Accent Chartered Professional Accountants Inc.. His forward focus started with opening a new location of his family’s sporting goods store in Dauphin, Manitoba, before he approached his accountant for a position at Allard & Yakubchak, starting his career in public practice. He obtained his CGA in 2002 and his FCPA in 2017. 

His keen interest in community has lead him to serve on the CGA Manitoba and CPA Manitoba Board, participating in National and Provincial committees and instructing seminars for the profession and delivering presentations for the CPA Financial Literacy Program, as well as being a part of his local Dauphin Rotary Club for over 15 years.  

With a firm belief in staying active, he enjoys cycling, swimming, and running. After completing the Ironman Canada triathlon in 2008, he went on to participate in various triathlon, half-marathons and marathons. Residing near Riding Mountain National Park with his wife Manda, he maintains an active lifestyle.  


Janet Froese Lucas, B.A., M.A.

A Winnipeg based therapist with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology, Janet has over 25 years of experience working with men, women, adolescents, and couples. She is a member in good standing with the Professional Association of Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

Everyone has a story and Janet considers it her great privilege to work with hundreds of people and hear their stories. Some people feel stuck in their lives and do not feel they have choices. Some people are grieving the end of an important relationship or are struggling to save a relationship. Sometimes people know exactly what is wrong but need help to go forward and sometimes people don’t know what is wrong and need help to identify the problem. Whatever your reason, Janet looks forward to hearing everyone’s story.

Dr. Leigh Quesnel is the President & Director of HQS Consulting Services Inc. and he has been a leading organizational consultant for well over 20 years.  He has worked with small and large organizations in both the public and private sector, nationally and internationally. His current areas of study and interest include the evolution of management practices, managing stress, workplace wellness, leadership, and motivation. 

His work in organizations ranges from hands on consulting with senior management to the development of management and employee training programs.  Finally, Leigh has a Ph.D. in psychology and has lectured in the faculties of psychology and commerce at the universities of Manitoba and Winnipeg.

Rémy believes good marketing should be smart, beautiful, and leave the intended audience in a good mood after viewing it. A 20/20 marketing visionary, he oversees and brings to life all of RPM’s branding and marketing and fosters the growing RPM YouTube channel.

Seamlessly able to meld extensive experience with an artistic eye, he catapults client’s marketing campaigns to new heights.


It takes a team to build an organization and with over seventeen years of experience as an association management professional in the accounting profession, Kristine Tubiera has a wealth of knowledge and experience in guiding practitioners.

She has worked closely with small to mid-sized public accounting firms to understand their needs, created programs and services to support their practices, and helped practitioners understand their regulatory requirements.

Through her company, LMVA Consulting, Kristine acts as ReveNew Practice Management and Coffee Ring Marketing’s strategic partner, using project management and communication skills to move their initiatives and their client’s goals forward.

Focusing on building relationships, event management, and promotional strategy, she brings her clients to new levels of success.
